As our RTC related
activity wound down,
our acquisitions
focus shifted to
special situation
loans and real
estate from banks,
insurance companies
and larger
opportunity funds.
PNL financed these
acquisitions
directly and with a
number of private
sector partners
including Blackacre
Capital (Cerberus) which was
our financial
partner from 1995 to
2006.
In 2005, PNL raised
a discretionary
fund, PNL
Insitutional
Partners, L.P., with
top-tier
institutional
investors and
substantial internal
equity to acquire
over $250 million of
opportunistic loans
and property
throughout the
United States and
Canada as well as
provided real estate
venture capital to
middle-market real
estate
entrepreneurs.
Though markets have
changed since we
were founded, PNL’s
fundamental focus
remains acquiring
special situation
real estate and
mortgages with an
outstanding team of
professionals and
staff. |
